Miss My Knitting

My knitting basket sits with all my beautiful needles and unfinished projects crying out to be worked on.
My hand is better but I fear that knitting will put me back to square one. I can't even watch my beloved podcasts because it makes me sad to see all the great projects everyone is working on.

When I look at my grandkids I know I'm the most blessed women in the world!

No Knitting for awhile!

My joint between the thumb and wrist is flairing up and I had to have a steroid injection today.
I'm not sure when I'll be able to knit again but must care for the little ones Monday.

My Lula got her hair trimmed by her mama

She's wearing hand made sweaters by Grandma.

Here is my Benny wearing some of the hats I made for him.

We moved to a new house after selling the home we lived in for 35 years.
This is the kitchen

and bathroom both have marble counter tops.
They are beautiful but hard to maintain.

There is a wooded area nearby and we had a family of deer walk right in front of the house.
The children went crazy!
We hope to make as wonderful memories in this new house as we did in the old.

I have no idea why the type is red up above.

Keeping Heads Warm

My Lula in her newest hat.

This is the Insulate! Hat by Amy van de Laar. It is a free pattern on Ravelry and a tribute to Doctor Who.
There's one on the needles for my boy.

Better blog

Working on improving my blog so I will be experimenting with different apps.
This is my Lula in NYC checking out the dinosaurs.
I have found a great blog
http://lifeinyonder.blogspot.com
Worth checking out.

Looking back

I was looking back at some old posts and have been inspired to continue this blog as a gift to my grandchildren.

Here comes the sun

We have had a few warmer day and some of the snow is melting.
Cabin fever has made way to lots of knitting.

Here are a few gloves and a sockhead hat. The bag is a prize I won at the new. LYS. It was filled with a sweater quantity of Cascade yarn!

This is the Antler Cardigan From Tincanknits I made for Ella. It is now blocked and just needs buttons. I will start one for my Ben soon.

Snow Snow Everywhere

We had a snowstorm yesterday, another is on its way tonight and yet another on Sunday night.

It is beautiful but it's a lot of work!

My anteler sweater by Tin Can Knits is well on it's way to being done.

This is such a well written pattern and a beautiful design.

First Born went to NYC and took my Lula to her favorite place.

The American museum of natural history.
Lula is wearing a dress I knit up for her.

On my own

My babies are home with their moms today so I have a day to myself.
Going to cast on two pairs of gloves for first born and continue work on Ella's antler sweater.

A new yarns store is opening up Sunday in my area. Can't wait to go and have an outing with both my daughters. I will be purchasing ChiaoGoo interchangeable and hopefully some beautiful yarn!

Coming back?

We have recently sold our old family home. How old is home served us well for 36 years. Raised our family and had wonderful times there but now it's time to move on.

Ella in the playroom at the old house.

The move was very sad but we are now in the house that I love and we're very close to both our daughters.
A few pictures of projects that I have been working.

First Born, Ella and I went to Rhinebeck this year.
We had a great time and Ella loved all the sheepy goodness.
