Somethings Old and Somethings New

These great vintage books belonged to Annette.
Check out the can of Tab the guy is holding!

This is a great free pattern Lacy Stole from Lion Brand.

I'm just starting to get into lace and this pattern was very easy to follow.
It's made out of very soft Debbie Bliss Cashmerino DK.

The stole calls for a 5 pattern repeat but I wanted to make a scarf so I only did two repeats. I also added a crochet trim because it just looked unfinshed.

My First Born gave me this great Araucania Ranco Solid blue yarn. Working with it is amazing and I still have a tons more left over. I see a matching scarf coming.

Funny, at sit & knit this pass wednesday, we looked over some vintage knitting books that someone brought in. It's amazing that after 30 or 40 years you can still use these patterns. I am loving that lave pattern. I will have to give it a try.. Thanks♥

That scarf is beautiful! Absolutely gorgeous. You should write the pattern up.
I like the gloves too. They look very snuggly.

Beautiful scarf. Will have to download that pattern for making gifts for las Hijas. (on the blog they are Primera and Segunda) When a friend of mine was cleaning her mom's house one summer, she came across 3 boxes of vintage books. Her mom told her to give them to me! They are in my attic right now. 1 of them dates back to the early 1900s. Such fun within those covers.
