My mother gave birth to me 57 years ago today.
Today is a perfect day to celebrate this amazing women.
This is El Escudo De Puerto Rico (The Seal of Puerto Rico)
A proud, strong Puerto Rican women who had dreams of Puerto Rican Independence.
She never went to college but had more insight, intelligence and wisdom than all of the professors I had when I went to college.
She worked hard in a hot hospital kitchen to give me the best life anyone could ask for.
When I was planning a family she put her life aside to care for my girls.
When she past in 1990 I spent many years working on being like Mom and came to the understanding that she lived her life making me ME.
I miss her more than I can say and as I write this I am filling my healing vase with tears.

It is hard not to think of your mom on your birthday, I can't imagine being without my mom. I'm so sorry you are feeling sad, it's understandable.
Hope you still have a wonderful day!

Happy Birthday Carmen!!! For 57 years this world has been a better place for having you in it. Thank you for being here to share the planet with us! Blessings to you in the coming year! Love Abbey
Happy Birthday! from another veteran (now retired) teacher. What a lovely tribute to your mother. My mother has Alzheimer-type dementia, and has forgotten many of her family (except me), but when I go visit her I bring some craft that she used to do so skillfully, like a started sock, and as soon as I place it in her hands, her hands know what to do, even if she doesn't. I am saving and treasuring every moment with her.
I'm a bit late to the party.. but Happy Birthday!!!What a great tribute to you mom. May the most you wish for be the least you get♥
Belated happy birthday! That is such a beautiful tribute to your mom.
Happy (belated) birthday! Seems like there's a lot of Lesser Known Skeins with late may/early June birthdays.
Your mom sounds like she was an amazing woman, and may her memory always grant you comfort!
