Blankets of Life

When we pass we leave behind all we did and did not do. We leave behind all the good and all the bad. We leave behind memories of what we were and what we should have been. We leave behind the blanket of our lives.
I can only hope the blanket I leave behind will be warming, encouraging, empowering, and comforting. I can only hope my blanket will give my daughters the understanding that they are amazing women with a life time to make a most beautiful blanket for those they leave behind.

Back to EZ Basics

I have been working on this Tomten since September. It is my 3rd and I just needed a break from it. Now I think I'll be able to finish it off.

I was making nothing but EZ patterns for months and now I seem to be having withdrawal pains. I can't wait to start my 3rd BSJ and my 2nd February sweater.

Made with some old stash yarn with hood.

Made with Moda Dea Floral with no hood which makes it look Asian. Both still have no buttons.

This was so much fun to make. I used King Tut Cotton in this great shade of blue. I found the perfect silver buttons.

This is an old picture of this BSJ; it now does have buttons. It was made out of Elsebeth Lavold Cable Cotton.

This was my first Baby Surprise Jacket made from Araucania Atacama Alpaca. It now has bunny buttons.
I love The world of EZ!

Ravelry

My daughter Zel is the best teacher in the world. She is teaching me to do this blog and put pictures of my projects into
Ravelry and I can even put in links in my blog posts. Not bad for a 50+ old lady with lupus!

This is just one of the many pics I put in. It is a nechwarmer I first saw on Yarn Ball Boogie.
I have no idea how my daughter has the patience to teach me. I just can't seem to remember anything.

I put in the picture, the link, and added text on Html all by myself. Now I have to see what grade my teacher gives me.

I'm Back!

Blogger came to its senses and let this poor old lady start her Blog. My daughter is teaching me how to do this so I am going to put in some pictures.
Here goes.

My awesome daughters, Zel, and Pepper got me this great bag for Mother's Day. Many pockets and lots of room for large projects. The sculls in the flowers are a cute touch.

I'm starting my first blog

I have no idea. How do people start blogs?

I have to have socks on the needles all the time. At first, I was afraid I couldn't make socks, but now I must have socks available all the time.

I got some Lang JaWoll at a store called Yarn Diva. It comes with thread that lets you reinforce the heel. Yarn Diva is a nice little store, but I still love Stix-n-Stitches.

I'm going to go to get myself a new camera tomorrow. I want to learn how to use it and take some pictures of my stuff and I'll be on my way to blog-land.
