My husband and I are getting better with this empty nest thing.
We are starting to turn the dining room into a sitting room and now that the piano is out my living room looks much larger.
First born and hubbie are back form their trip to Boston. Check her blog for details.
Last Born had to take time off from all the new house work because she was getting sick.
So I am not only back to knitting but also back to my Chalk Dust Knitters/Crocheters Group.
At the meeting my good friend Pat pulled out this gift for me!
It is so cool and I have wanted to get one since I saw it online.
One side has a tape measure, cutter, crochet hook and a counter.
On the other side it has a compact.
It contains scissors, point protectors and stitch markers.
I am so blessed to have great friends. Thanks Pat!!!!!
In glove world I'm finishing this pair of basic gloves and will be taking time off from the basics to do more challenging gloves.
The frame was a gift First Born brought me from Boston.
I love William Morris designs. This is called Seaweed.
Here are another pair from a book I love Knitting New Mittens & Gloves by Robin Melanson.
I'm not using the right yarn but the design is so great I'm sure they are going to come out just fine.

You got balls w/ those last gloves...they look difficult. And you're the only person I know who loves William Morris patterns as much as I do. PS, Pat rocks
I'm glad everything is back to normal. I'm sure you're enjoying your summer holidays. It looks like the gloves will lace up on the back of the hand?
Empty Nesting is such an interesting intersection of our mothering experience. It's both happy and sad, but always leads to more space!!! Yea!! Your new kit looks so cool!!
I may have been bitten by the glove bug, but you are definately the glove Queen!! Your work is beautiful!!
More wonderful gloves! And that knit kit looks ever so cute.
You are going to be my inspiration to tackle gloves this fall- I'm intimidated by knitting the fingers!
I have the knit kit too! I love it. I can just throw it in my bag and go to my knitting group. It's great- enjoy.
Oh, I stuck a tapestry needle in the back compartment, it was the only thing I was missing.
The little Knit Kit is wicked cute!
And those gloves, I think you are knitspiring me to try it out sometime!

i am forever amazed at all of your fantastic gloves! and that knit kit looks like the best idea ever.
That little knitting kit is adorable. I love the gloves. Don't laugh but I am not familiar with William Morris patterns. I'm going to check him out asap.
