Long Time No Post!

I have been taking care of my grand babies and that has left me with no time to post.
I'm off for the summer so I will try to play catch up.


This is my second The Age of Steam Kerchief.
I'm using left over yarn from my stash.

9/11

I was teaching in a school across the river from the towers in New Jersey. The view outside my classroom window was the WTC and the Empire State building.
A coworker saw the planes hit and I saw the towers go down. Many of the staff and students lost friends and family.
I will never forget the smell in the air for days.
I will not watch any of the 9/11 programing. My thoughts and prayers are with all of us who lived that day and must live with the pain and loss.

The knitting world has lost a truly amazing person Lena Lundbladh.

I made two of her Oden Sweaters for my Ella.




I hope to start her Poppy Poncho soon.

Posting On My iPad

This is very cool but just learning at this point.
So here goes!

I have been doing tons of knitting for my first grandson. He will be here in November and I have so many more things I want to make for him.
I'm not sure how to put links in so the next post will have the details of the little sweater.



I love to learn new things and at my age I must keep my mind active.
Thanks to my daughters I will enter my 60s with a young mind.

Just found out today that Last Born is having a boy. I went to the ultrasound with them and all I did was cry! My first grand son will be born in November so I better get started on some boy sweaters.
